Diversity & Inclusion Guidelines

We support Diversity & Inclusion in the ADBIS community therefore we kindly ask authors to adopt inclusive language in their papers and presentations (inclusive writing and inclusive talks), and all participants to adopt the proper code of conduct (code of conduct).

Diversity & Inclusion Talks

D&I Talk given by Sihem Amer-Yahia (Silver Medal CNRS Research Director and Deputy Director of the Lab of Informatics of Grenoble)

Code of Conduct presented by Jérôme Darmont (Université Lyon 2, France)

D&I Panel to discuss the latest recommendations to make diversity and inclusion a first-class citizen in our scientific events. Moderators: Jérôme Darmont (Université Lyon 2, France) and Tania Cerquitelli (Politecnico di Torino, Italy)

Diversity & Inclusion Actions

We encourage women and underrepresented communities to submit papers on the research outcomes of their activity. For such persons, we will offer at least 3 free registrations to attend the conference. The ADBIS 2022 organizers will publish guidelines to apply for this opportunity.

We promote diversity by having diverse PC members, co-chairs, and session chairs.

We will collect statistics to know where we need to act (asking the ADBIS community to fill out a particular survey during the conference).

We are working on getting sponsors to support D&I registrations.

We will award the most D&I student presentations (publicized in advance).
